I started The Bar Method in Dr. Phillips when it opened in February. For years I have been suffering from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. My doctors expressed to me the importance of building strength particularly in my core, stretching and just trying to move on a regular basis.
Although I tried many different exercise modalities through the years; yoga, walking, light cardio, Pilates, etc., I was only able to participate in any program a short period of time. My muscles ached too much, I was too tired and had to go to bed afterward, or my muscles were in spasm. My intention was to stay involved but the fatigue or pain got the best of me and I quit. Even doing physical therapy in a warm pool became too much. In everything I tried, I experienced more pain and fatigue and never felt that I was building any strength whatsoever.
Finally, a huge thank you to Karen and Cayce for bringing The Bar Method to Dr. Phillips. I am amazed at all the different parts of my body being worked, strengthened, stretched, tucked, lifted and toned. I am still going! This program resonates with me and I am so grateful.
Like a boomerang, I keep coming back. There is no doubt in my mind this is the best one hour you can spend out of your day! It is exactly what the doctor ordered and more! I love the positive atmosphere and the instructors are fantastic.
I am building stamina and confidence and when a friend of mine said, “Sandra, your butt is lifting!” Wow…need I say more? See you at “The Bar”- Method that is.
